3-D ETC

The leader in experiential learning for the classroom and web

Safety Awareness

Are you ready to take your safety program to the next level?

On and off-the-job accidents costs US employers more than $330 Billion annually. Many companies develop elaborate safety programs in an attempt to curb these costs, yet find themselves in still search of improvements in employee attitude, behavior and safety performance. What they learn is that the missing ingredient is not that their employees lack training, but lack intrinsic motivation, or their own internal value to make safety a priority in their life.

3-D ETC has developed its own blended learning motivational safety awareness course which combines the impact of 3D immersive video with classroom interaction. Safety – The Right Choice addresses the human factors associated with unsafe employee behaviors and can easily be incorporated into any existing new hire or corporate safety training program.

Course Overview

“SAFETY – The Right Choice” is a high impact, motivational safety course designed to move employees towards taking ownership and accountability for their own personal safety. Participants establish the foundation for making good safety decisions in all situations by learning four fundamental principles of good, safe behavior. The course is facilitated (in groups of up to 25 employees) by a certified 3D ETC instructor who emphasizes the importance of personal safety and how true employee safety compliance often extends beyond the minimum requirements of an organization. To obtain optimum impact, the course incorporates adult learning strategies and features the use of four 3-D immersive video experiences (one for each learning point), all of which provide life-like encounters of realistic industrial safety scenarios that employees immediately identify with. Each 3D immersive video offers a contemplative look at the cause, effect and consequence of the choices that employees make that lead to various workplace catastrophes. After each 3D immersive video segment, the facilitator debriefs the scenario and references its relevance to the key learning point as well as to the participant's own work environment, then anchors the importance of perpetual good safety behavior.
